Mine Administrator/ Environmental,
Health & Safety Manager

Brad Wienhold

Brad Wienhold works on behalf of R.W. Sidley to promote safe, professional workplace practices and conditions that comply with industry and government environmental, health, and safety rules and regulations. As EHS Safety Manager, Brad strives to protect our employees, customers, and the environment by executing comprehensive occupational safety and health programs. His responsibilities include investigating incidents, identifying root causes, and developing corrective action plans that prevent reoccurrence. Brad uses his safety-oriented skills to conduct employee safety training, perform health and environmental sampling, and monitor chemical and materials’ usage, storage, and disposal.

Brad’s responsibilities were broadened to include Mine Administrator. Brad manages equipment repairs to reduce downtime, improve the safety of equipment, and ensure that mine operations run smoothly. He focuses on ensuring compliance with federal regulations to continue to grow and adapt to improve safety and efficiency of all production plants.

We also rely on Brad to identify opportunities that improve corporate sustainability by accelerating efforts to reduce water use, energy consumption, greenhouse gas emissions, and product sourcing. He has a unique ability to look at situations objectively and analytically from different angles. This skill set aligns with what Brad recalls as the best advice he has been given: “Situations must be looked at from every perspective. Every person has different experiences that change their perspective. Looking at each perspective allows the best outcome to develop.”

Brad earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Heidelberg University. He is certified as a National Safety Council (NSC) First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor and Qualified Industrial Stormwater Inspector (QISI). When not keeping us all safe, Brad enjoys spending time outdoors with his family on their boat and exploring different parks to go hiking.
